Track Name: House For Sale
House for sale
Where the old lady used to live
It's up for sale
The little white house on the corner
With the pink drapes in the bedroom
and the flowers in the spring
Where the sparrows
And the finches used to sing
Now it's house for sale

House for sale
The home of the one-legged man
Is up for sale
Had a Chrysler in the driveway
And a patio out back
But he never went outside
You'd see him peering out
Between the blinds
Now it's house for sale

House for sale
The one out by the graveyard
Is up for sale
Oh, the stories we would tell
When we were kids about the witch
We were certain was inside
I lost my ball over the fence
And nearly died
Now it's house for sale

House for sale
I'm putting out my sign
It says, 'House For Sale'
I'm moving from this
Two bedroom with one and one half baths
And the garden on the side
To my father's mansion in the sky
House for sale
Track Name: Pirates Holding Hands
Last night I had a dream
We were pirates, you and me
And we sailed a battered houseboat
From our home port in the Keys
And both of us were younger
Than before we'd even met
'Cause that's the way things are
Sometimes in dreams

Through the Caribbean
And down past Yucatan
And crossing the equator,
Just us pirates holding hands
And we laughed at every storm
In the black waters off Cape Horn
We're bravest when together,
It would seem

The warm Pacific breeze
Brought warm weather and clear skies
And flying fish as big as airplanes
Soared high above the tides
And we met Captain Cook in port
And he gave us rum
We exchanged addresses,
Said we'd write

But in the waters off Australia
British Ships appeared
A naval fleet whose numbers
Had me shaken
They surrounded us, their cannons fixed
On our little boat
You laughed and said,
"Fuck yeah, we can take 'em."

And the cannons roared
And smoke poured
From their gunwales, thick as tar
And the moon rose over the battle
On the waves beneath the stars
And we fought like hell 'til morning
'Cause we're pirates, yeah we are
And when all was said and done
And we'd sunk the British command
We set a course for Africa
Two pirates holding hands

Around the Cape of Good Hope
Headed north for Spain
And in the Canary Islands
We gave all the canaries names
Then back across the great Atlantic
To our home port in the Keys
I like when we're pirates in my dreams
You're my favorite pirate in my dreams
Track Name: Bill & Alice
I am Anastasia Romanov, one hundred years of age
I've made a life and living reading Shakespeare from the stage
And who could've seen it coming, that I'd end up where I am
From the darling of the palace to my death
At Othello's hand

The Bolsheviks, they came for us in the summer of '18
They cut us down like cattle, my family and me
And I shut my eyes and hid beneath Alexei and I prayed
'Til a guard that I'd befriended came and stole me away
And by summer's end I'd made my way to the Bering Sea
And stowed away aboard a ship
Bound for anonymity

I called myself Alice when I arrived in Nome
And I settled in Alaska with a husband and a home
And I learned my English from the only books that I could get:
Hamlet and The Tempest, Romeo and Juliet
And by springtime I was shining in my new role as the Queen
My crown was made of glass and tin
But I still stole the scene

But like windows on a passing train, so too pass the years
The best parts of my life were Ophelias, Nymphs, and Lears
And I know I'll have no regrets when I play my final scene
For in the sleep of death what dreams may come
To me

I am Anastasia Romanov, one hundred years of age
I've made a life and living reading Shakespeare from the stage
And who could've seen it coming, that I'd end up where I am
From the darling of the palace to my death
At Othello's hand
Track Name: Bloomin'
I went a little crazy
Maybe 'little' ain't the word
Sunk down to the bottom
But I come up with a girl
Who's crazy now, boys?

I sunk my roots deep in the
Brick of Manhattan
Spread my leaves to the skyline
Turned my face towards the heavens
Bloomin' now, boys

When I die, throw my ashes
On the streets of the Quarter
On the waves up in Casco
Chuck 'em off the Eiffel Tower
Moving now, boys
Track Name: Not Before My Time
When the shackles fall and I run free
I'll circle back to where I used to be
And I'll find you in your darkest corner

And I'll clear away all the dirt and dust
And find the shine in all that's turned to rust
Like it was when we were first together

And you won't see me there
But you'll feel a stir
In the morning air
That's just me, saying everything's all right
But not before my time

And when I leave this place for paradise
After we've said our goodbyes
I'll hold you when you're dreaming

And you won't see me there
But you'll feel a stir
In the evening air
That's just me, saying everything is fine
But not before my time
